I am looking for a comment he made about the rewards being at 4% of normal.
I can't find it right now, but I did find that @abit's account is no longer accepting replies.
Can we get a proof of life, @abit?
Can we get data on how the whale sp delegation is impacting the rest of us?
If we multiply the trending page by 25 we see that the rewards are indeed out of whack, atm.
My recent appearance on the ten most undervalued list indicates that the whale influence has escaped the cage that the no voting experiment had it locked up in.
I know the crapitalust programming you have been subjected to as a child tells you that more is better, that getting favors bestowed from on high is a good thing, but Steemit is going to prove to you that, not only is allowing the top to suck up all the value created by all of us cooperatively here a bad idea for most of us, it is a bad idea in real life, too.
Steemit functions as a microcosm of the real world.
We have a central bank, and an inflationary model.
Those with more influence seek to grow that influence, just like in real life.
As that influence grows those at the bottom fall off the rewards gravy train.
Just like those kids in Syria.
The math says that they got to die, and minnows have to starve.
If the top is to be assuaged.
Are you ready to rise up and demand that the top stop sticking it to the folks doing all of the work?
How many bricks, or bags of cement, do you think DJT has carried into one of his buildings?
How many whales are creating 'excellent' content?
The telltale is in how many folks carried bags into those buildings/created content that ended up getting stiffed on payday.
That same tell is here, we all come here, we all create value by hodling steem, creating, and curating, content, we don't divide that value equally, nor should we, imo, we are here to play a game and those that excel at this game should rise to the top in the scoring.
But, when those with coding skillz and insider knowledge use those attributes against everybody else, especially in a greedy grubbin' way, it is time to rise up and voice your discontent, imo.
Witnesses are our last defense against those of us here that want to make this an uninhabitable environment for everybody but themselves.
I know we are kidding to think that the whales will ever vote themselves out of power, but we did see moves in that direction when our dear leader @dan took his bag of marbles home.
So, the gesture is there, but is the will?
Will Steemit whales/insiders stop acting to the detriment of the minnows in order to favor the whales?
It is not crapitalistically likely, but we will have to see if their actions match their rhetoric.
Ask one to check my math, if you care to know for yourself?
Have a perfectly peaceful day.
Keep working, stop paying.
How to win in court for far less!!
