This picture was taken in Amsterdam near the Dam square. Don't know much about artist that done did this piece, but as soon as I saw it I knew it is going to fit with its background symmetrically . Low angle of view, lines that fit with each other and the diversity of the colors is what makes it appealing.
Just at the first view we can see consistency of the lines in front with its background, they are aligned and placed horizontally and vertically. Composition that can usually be found only in architecture and human work as nature tends to do things in a more chaotic way. Colors are diverse and pop up randomly if focusing on the middle of the picture. Main contrast is between blue sky and gray/red/yellow buildings, split diagonally from bottom left to top right. Upper part is much more lighter and brighter from bottom part because of the natural lightning as this picture has no digital manipulation. Perspective from the low ground makes it "on point" and gives more dimensional view.
Don't You just love it when things fit so perfectly with each other. Smooth as silk.
