3 Easy And Natural DIY Beauty Treatments You Can Do At Home

Happy weekend, friends! If you had a long, busy week or if you just want to treat yourself a little bit, here are some easy and affordable beauty recipes for a nice treatment at home that will leave you feeling fresh and more confident (or at least that's how I feel after this pamering routine, haha).

1. Coconut oil hair mask

Coconut oil has many benefits and there's also many ways it can be used for body, hair and skin care. Fun fact: my most paid post on Steemit was about coconut oil! :) For this hair mask all you need to do is brush your hair, put some coconut oil on the palms of your hands, rub it between your hands and then apply it all over the hair. I like to focus more on the ends since they tend to get dry from the sun in the summer. I also like to massage my scalp for a few minutes - this is so relaxing. Then I put my hair in a bun and leave it like that for at least 20 minutes, sometimes an hour or two. Then I wash my hair with a regular shampoo twice, just to make sure all of the oil is out. There are many hair mask recipes online that include coconut oil so you can play around with it but I like to keep it as simple as possible a.k.a most of the time I am just too lazy to be bothered with that.

2. Coffee grounds and coconut oil body scrub

This one I also mentioned in one of my posts long time ago. It is still one of my favorite Do It Yourself beauty recipes. It is super easy, just take some coffee grounds (I usually use the ones that are left after having my black coffee) and a little bit of coconut oil and mix it together. Use it as a scrub in the shower and enjoy your smooth and soft skin afterwards. Just be careful not to slip from the oil in the shower - this is why I like to use just a tiny bit of oil.

3. Grapes and honey face mask

I have tried this one for the first time couple of days ago when I mentioned it in a post. Mixing grapes pulp with a little bit of honey, applying it on clean face and leaving it for about 20 minutes before rinsing it off - that's all you have to do. Grapes and honey both have many benefits for the skin. Making your own face masks is great because you can just search for the one you need at that moment, instead of going out and buying new ones from the store. For example, during the winter your skin might be more on the dry side, so you can look for a nourishing face mask recipe. Or you can look for the oily skin one, if this is something you're dealing with in the summer. Plus, the benefits of all natural beauty treatments is waaay better than the suspicious ingredients from the purchased products.

Many different cultures all over the world have their own natural remedies and treatments that were used for many, many years. Nowadays, we are used to buying everything because all of it's made for the consumer society that we live in. Why would you bother mixing something in the kitchen when you can just grab it from the store and use it when you need it? I feel like I am still on the both sides, some things I like to buy, some things I like to make myself. But I am more aware of the ingredients used in products so I try to find all natural or at least less toxic products. Anyways, since there's so many people on Steemit from all the different places in the world, it would be awesome if you leave your favorite natural beauty recipe or some of the most popular in your county/culture.
