RANDOM THURSDAY - Another Random Post

Looking back at some of my previous posts, I just realized how all over the place my life is right now which obviously reflects on my posts as well. Few months ago I made Getting my sh*t together posts and I feel like it's time to dig through my own feed and remind myself to do it again.

Here's some random things I want to share with you:

Baby neighbor: yesterday morning my neighbor gave birth to a baby girl! She came to this world a little bit sooner than expected but both are healthy and fine. Of course there was a celebration in the late afternoon (Serbian style), where family and friends gather to celebrate the birth of a child. A lot of music and alcohol is involved. Another traditional thing is ripping off the father's shirt. I am not sure where did this came from or what it should represent, but it's custom that a lot of people do.

Kindle book sample: these days I've downloaded some book samples on Kindle and one I really enjoyed and that stuck to my brain was Mini habits: smaller habits, bigger results by Stephen Guise. He talks about how he managed to turn a decade long trying/wishing/failing fitness goal into a habit with the "one push-up challenge". For many years he was trying and failing at developing a fitness routine until he got this idea of doing just one push-up. One - that's it. So he did it and as his body was already in that position and his brain was in that state of mind where he accomplished his goal, no matter how ridiculous it was, he did another push-up. And another one and another one. Then he made a goal of doing one pull-up. But he ended up doing more than one. At the end he managed to do a mini workout that started with just one simple push-up. This way of thinking and setting tasks and goals can be applied to any aspect of life and I really like this approach. I still need to check out the entire e-book though, I feel like it's a really good one.

Selling stuff at the market: tomorrow four of us girls are going to the market to sell some of our stuff, mainly clothes and shoes. A girl I know did this recently and got some decent money selling clothes she didn't wanted/needed so we decided to do the same and see how it goes. I washed a bunch of clothes that I am going to pack tonight so it's ready to find a new owner. I need to get up around 3:45am and catch a bus at 4:35am! Since I am going by bus and then by car, I will probably pack a small suitcase and a 25l backpack even though I have more stuff but I'll leave that for another time.

Introduce your job challenge: I was nominated for this challenge by @enginewitty in this post but since I don't have a job at the moment I though I would just throw it in this post, haha. Steemit is my only source of income, but I don't really cash out Steemit earnings. I did that recently, after almost a year, to pay a flight ticket to Istanbul. I am lucky enough to live with my family in our family house and next month I will continue with University and finally finish it so I can finally get a job and tell you all about it. :D

Face mask: I just took a break from writing this post to wash off the face mask I made. I've been reading about grape benefits for the skin a while ago on Pinterest but I was always too lazy to try it out even though it doesn't take a lot of time at all. So when my mom said she's going to pick up some grapes from the garden, I did a little bit more research on the Internet and a lot of simple recepies showed up. I ended up making grapes and honey face mask where all you need to do is squeeze the grape pulp, add some honey, mash it all together with a fork and apply it on clean face. I left this mask on for about 20 minutes and rinsed it with warm water. Grapes are great antioxidants and they help fight the wrinkles, fine lines and aging spots (at least that's what Google says).

So there you have it, another super random post! For some unknown reason, I do enjoy making posts like this, maybe it's because I feel better after writing down all the things I have on my mind and letting it out leaves my head less cluttered. Anyways, I hope you're having a fantastic day! :)
