Dan Larimer Working On Steemit 2.0 As Well As Bitshares 2.0

He's not going to piggyback the names, but for now it is what is. Dan Larimer talked on the EOS ram channel on Telegram that he was in the final stages of completing the Steemit competitor everyone has been speculating on. In order for it to work, it needs Bitshares 2.0.

Is this great or bad? I would imagine that EOS hodlers at snapshot will be airdropped the new token for "steemit 2.0" or that you stake your EOS in this Dapp. So for EOS hodlers it's a good thing. Even if you are invested in Steem and EOS at the same time - as long as you are more or less 50/50 it doesnt really matter that much. People will go over to the Dapp with more potential for earning, which will either kill or push the other (Steemit) to do better. As long as you as an investor and content creator is on the ball it's really a good thing with this kind of competition.

No point in speculating too much though. But steemit-lover or not, everyone have to accept the fact that there will be competition. And if Steemit and Steem can't keep up, it will roll over and eventually die. I think Steem has great potential, and it is the most used blockchain by far. But that does not mean they can rest.
