Exquisite Corpse: A Perfect Day For A Murder Part 4

Some time ago, @blockurator put out a post, asking for people to join in on his literary experiment.
He said

The idea is to collaborate on a story where each participant writes a portion of the story in succession, like a relay race.

We started with @blockurator, writing the first part of the story

Vinnie Testosteroni was no ordinary serious killer. He showed no signs of sexual deviance. He didn't have daddy issues or hate his mother. There was no hint of psychological damage or mental health issues anywhere in the family tree. He didn't mutilate the bodies or have sex with his victims before murdering them. And he didn't try to hide the fact that he was a serial killer by holding down a job to which he was compulsively dedicated and which served only as a cover-up to his real occupation as serial killer.

Just a little preview to how the story starts.

And then the story continued with @calluna writing the 2nd part,

It may seem innocuous enough, and had that been all that went wrong that morning, Vinnie might have felt a little better about it. Instead, pulling his Challenger Demon into the valet stand, the cocky confidence with which he normally tossed the keys at the greasy kid, felt forced.

This should really want you to get reading those parts to catch up πŸ˜‰

The 3rd part of the story was written by @blueteddy. Here is a little part of the story to help convince you to want to read the 3 parts completely.

He hoisted himself onto the sink and pushed the window open. He’d managed to pull himself half way through when someone yanked his leg and pulled him backwards.

I can't give you more than that. Go check out their parts of the story and then come back here to catch up on what is happening now 😁

Part 4 starts now!

β€œYou were seriously going to run out on our date?! That is so rude!”

Vinnie took a moment to catch himself. Cleaning off the possible dirt from the grimy floor, taking advantage of the time to think of a quick reply. He's never had any problems talking to people and having quick comebacks. But their previous conversation was so boring, to the point where he was dumbfounded. Best way to reply is with honesty.

"Actually, yes. I thought it would be more advantageous to save my soul from a dreadful waste of time. Now if you would be so kind to remove the knife pointed in my direction."

"No. No... I think I like this view. I like the thought of being in control, the smell of fear oozing out of pores of your skin. The closer I bring the knife the more you are likely to sweat."

As Katie leaned in closer to his body, almost matching him in height, she noticed a cut on his cheek. The sight immediately sparked excitement within herself, reflecting a corner smile and a twinkle in her eye.
Quickly she approached the knife to the cut, wanting to poke at it.

"I wouldn't do that."

Vinnie blocked her arm at the elbow, preventing her from any more movements. He was still calm and filled with strength.
Katie's face changed with quick disappointment. She tried pushing her arm further, wanting to only reopen the scabbed wound on his face. Just for a little fun.

Using his other hand, Vinnie locked her hand by pushing on the top of her knuckles down and the bottom of her palm up, causing enough pain to make her drop the knife.

"It's all about the pressure points darling. But, I told you not to do that."
He kept her hand locked, pulling her arm up and outwards, passed underneath so that he was behind her with her arm bent and locked behind her back, never letting go of his hold on her hand. He now had complete control over her.

With a corner grin, Vinnie whispered in her ear, "Now this is what I call fun. Are we having fun yet Katie?"
It was as though he spat out her name when he exaggerated on the 'K'. Making her feel disgusted to hear it.

Katie raised her right leg and as she forcefully kicked down her heel onto his foot she yelled back, "THE TIME OF MY LIFE!"

The pain made Vinnie's body jerk down, letting go of his hold on her. As expected, she took the opportunity to swing her elbow back and up hitting him in the eye. His head flew up and almost had him on his ass once more.
He stumbled back, caught his balance, hands on his face. He stayed like that for some time making Katie believe that she had hurt him pretty good. Her grin came back to life as she charged towards him, picking up the knife off the floor on her way.

Vinnie reacted fast. As her arm lunged forward, he took a step forward. Wrapped his arm around hers just under her elbow, using his other arm as leverage sending pain through her arm and shoulder. Using his hip and her weight, he tripped her by swinging her around his waist and slammed her on the sticky floor.

Vinnie was on his knees hovering over her. With all this action, his cheeks flushed with a rosy colour. He realized what all this was doing to him.

Katie lied there gasping for air. Her back slammed so hard on the floor knocking every ounce of oxygen out of her lungs.
Vinnie was staring at her for what seemed like an eternity and yet she saw him just inches away from her face in the blink of an eye.

This ends part 4 of the story, sending the baton to @fromage with @quillfire next in line. I can't wait to see what you end up writing _
