It's been a rocky week on Steemit. The Steem price has been plummeting, there are fights over whale voting and @Dan has left. I needed something to cheer me up and I got something! The Steem price is up nearly 50% today! I'm not celebrating too hard as we know these things are very volatile. It can drop as fast as it rises. I have seen a few people powering up large amounts to show their support and that's very positive, but Steem and Steemit are still minnows in the cryptocurrency and social media worlds. They can get tossed around by the waves caused by bigger players.
And so to the selected Steemians for this fine Friday:
- @haphazard-hstead is into foraging for food and generally living off the land. There's nothing like eating something you just picked. She's also a fellow member of the top 25 Steemit posters.
- @silviabeneforti is an artist from Italy. She's offering customised avatar pictures for Steem. Buy yourself something unique.
- You may guess @surfermarly passion from her Steemit name. She has just passed 500 followers (like me). She's full of positivity and posting daily.
- @paolobeneforti is Silvia's other half, I assume. Another artist filling Steemit with beauty.
- @karenb54 is a fellow Brit who has been here since the early days. Like many she is struggling to maintain confidence in Steemit, so let's show her we care about it.
- @brimax is a fellow guitarist who has built at least one guitar. He also contributes some fine songs to the open mic challenge.
