I really am not much of a gardener, but I'm stuck with a big garden. That's why I love plants that just come up year after year with no effort from me. Here are a few that are flowering right now and making the place look better.
We have a couple of peony plants that have great big flowers to distract you from the weeds.
Great big poppies also add some dashes of red.
We planted this clematis years ago. It's almost lost in the ivy, but managed to come through again.
This clematis is climbing over the chicken run. I'm hoping the chickens don't attack it. They have been taking leaves off a jasmine at the other end that hangs into their run. They get some exercise jumping for those.
A while back we had the daffodils, snowdrops, crocuses and primroses. They just spring up all over, but have done their thing now.
I still need to get out there and clear weeds, dig a new pond and tend the vegetables. There's always something to do.
