I've been out battling the garden. By the shed I spotted a bee checking out the 'hotel' we made for them. Several have walled up holes with their eggs inside.
The garden is full of blossom on the various apple trees.
We've started planting one bed with mange tout, broccoli and beans.
This one still needs some work, but I did find a load of old potatoes.
During our digging I found this fragment of some pot featuring the statue of John Bunyan in Bedford. I wonder if it got broken and was just thrown out. We find a lot of old bottles, nails and other rubbish in the garden.
