Daylight is barely coming through my window,
it seems like the grey clouds are ready to swallow everything in a second.
The curtain on my window is moving slowly, it looks like it's trying to dance
to the rhythm of the songs I'm playing all day to lift up the mood.
I am thinking about coffee, warm and comforting, the third one I would taste today.
I put on a hoodie and go outside.
Dew covered the grass, leaves and flowers.
The sky looks even more threatening outside, the horizont is grey as far as human eye can see.
I'm staring at this grey paint above my haid thinking how it seems so close,
like it's just a little bit over the roofs of the houses.
I go close to the roses, red ones, my favorite.
I love to admire them, especially after the rain.
Little drops give them freshness and even more beauty.
The ground is soft and it feels like my feet and my body are too heavy
for the soaked nature's carpet to handle.
Here and there a little sparrow lands on the fence singing
his friendly melodies.
I take a look at the other flowers, pink and orange.
On the pink one I saw a little spider,
on the orange there was an ant.
Both rushed to hide under the pental,
in their world I am probably a giant and they don't know my intentions.
I moved on to the backyard and garden but the mud and tiny lakes
that rain left behind were on my way.
It's the third day since the rain is here, visiting again,
on another weekend in July.
The air starts to get crisp and gentle but cold wind
starts to play around.
Instinctly, I snuggle in my hoodie a little bit more,
thinking where is sunshine now?
Why did this yellow ball decided to spread the rays somewhere else.
The wind slaps me in my face, like it's trying to wake me up from my daydreaming.
"Fine", I think to myself, "I'll go".
Inside is warmer.
The curtain is still dancing even though I stopped the music.
I make coffee and play the music again, watching the wind
from the comfort of my room.
And in that moment I realize...
I am happy.
I am grateful.
I am present.
I am alive.
