A few days into 2021, and why not start saying thanks for something that's been very present in my life during the last year and a half. I might as well go for it and be grateful today for the amazing community/network/platform/support group/and so much more that HIVE is.
Ya van unos cuantos días del 2021, y por qué no empezar a dar las gracias por algo que ha estado muy presente en mi vida durante el último año y medio. Así que me vamos a hacerlo y agradecer hoy por la increíble comunidad / red / plataforma / grupo de apoyo / y mucho más que HIVE es.
I started out back in the time when we were all on Steem, you know, before Justin Sun and his minions thought they could buy themselves a community and impose their dictatorship. I think we should be grateful for that too, it gave the community the chance to join for a common cause and prove that it's not just here for the money, that there are true ideals guiding the way.
Empecé en la época en que tod-s estábamos en Steem, ya saben, antes de que Justin Sun y sus secuaces pensaran que podían comprarse una comunidad e imponer su dictadura. Being honest, I still drop a post every once in a while on Steem after it's been published on HIVE, just to see if a coin or two drops to buy some more HIVE or reinvest elsewhere.

My first posts in HIVE were a mixture of intimate confessions to an anonymous audience, as well as some streams of consciousness, and short stories. As many others, I was trying to make an income through the platform, but at the same time I wanted to provide original, honest, and deep content.
Mis primeras publicaciones en HIVE fueron una mezcla de confesiones íntimas a una audiencia anónima, así como algunos flujos de conciencia e historias cortas. Como muchos otros, estaba tratando de generar ingresos a través de la plataforma, pero al mismo tiempo quería brindar contenido original, honesto y profundo.
With time I started popping into Discord, reading more of other people's stories and realizing that this was not a money machine, but rather a thriving community where you could learn all sorts of things and expand the possibilities of your mind. There were people here already doing many of the things I always dreamt of making come true but didn't think that were very possible, such as @eco-alex and his eco-village project.
Con el tiempo, comencé a entrar en Discord, a leer más historias de otras personas y a darme cuenta de que no se trataba de una máquina de hacer dinero, sino de una comunidad próspera donde se podía aprender todo tipo de cosas y ampliar las posibilidades de la mente. Había gente aquí que ya estaba haciendo muchas de las cosas que siempre soñé hacer realidad pero que no creía que fueran muy posibles, como @ eco-alex y su proyecto de eco-aldea.
I'm also posting this on the PowerHouseCreatives (@steemitbloggers) community because it was such a good place to begin my HIVE journey. I recommend it to anyone who is starting out here because it's so diverse, filled with good-willed people who support each other. Though I've grown distant from them in the last time, I value a lot their participation in the community.
También estoy publicando esto en la comunidad de PowerHouseCreatives (@steemitbloggers) porque fue un buen lugar para comenzar mi viaje de HIVE. Se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que esté comenzando aquí porque es muy diversa, llena de personas de buena voluntad que se apoyan entre sí. Aunque me he distanciado de ellos en el último tiempo, valoro mucho su participación en la comunidad.
After a while I got bored of ventilating so much of my personal life (I still do it but a lot less), and started seeing this as a sort of journal where I could focus my ideas and get some rewards for doing so. Now tell me if that isn't a wonderful thing to exist?! A journal that pays you for sharing your thoughts and wishes... sign me up, again.
Después de un rato me aburrí de ventilar mi vida personal (todavía lo hago pero mucho menos), y comencé a ver esto como una especie de diario en el que podía enfocar mis ideas y obtener algunas recompensas por hacerlo. ¡Ahora dime si eso no es maravilloso que exista! Un diario que te paga por compartir tus pensamientos y deseos. ¡Inscríbeme! ... de nuevo.
Though blogging on Hive does not generate enough income to make a living, it has saved my ass many times as I have accumulated HP and then powered down when times were rough. Receiving 40 dollars weekly while I got back on my feet was extremely appreciated! Since I live on a low budget most of the time, it made all the difference.
Aunque bloguear en Hive no genera suficientes ingresos para costearme la vida, me ha salvado la raja muchas veces, ya que acumulé HP y luego me apagué cuando los tiempos eran difíciles. ¡Recibir 40 dólares semanales mientras me recuperaba fue muy apreciado! The 13 week powerdown period has been a true blessing in disguise. Sure, it might seem more convenient to handle your coin at your own timing, but in my case it has helped me to be way more conscious of how much I spend. Since the money comes coming at a slow pace, it has avoided me spending irresponsibly which has been a great help for me.
El período de 13 semanas para el powerdown ha sido una verdadera bendición en disfraz. Claro, puede parecer más conveniente manejar tus monedas a su propio ritmo, pero en mi caso me ha ayudado a ser mucho más consciente de cuánto gasto. Como el dinero llega a un ritmo lento, me ha evitado gastar de manera irresponsible, lo que ha sido de gran ayuda para mí.
I really like knowing that no matter where I go, I have a way of making some income and that I have savings here for the hard times. It makes me feel very lightweight and I hope it stays that way!
Realmente me gusta saber que no importa a donde vaya, tengo una forma de generar ingresos y que tengo ahorros aquí para los tiempos difíciles. Me hace sentir muy ligero y espero que siga siendo así.
So to sum up all the things that make HIVE great and that I thank dearly:
- Beautiful community filled with thoughtful beings that are constantly providing useful information, insights, and good vibes.
- Great way for me to save coin for the hard times, while being able to help others with an upvote and receiving some income along the way.
- An online journal where my thoughts and ideas are stored so I can look back on them when I need, that pays me for using it.
- A lot of ecological and natural medicine content for me to get inspired and go out to do some nice stuff for this planet!
Entonces, para resumir todas las cosas que hacen grande a HIVE y que agradezco profundamente:
- Hermosa comunidad llena de seres reflexivos que constantemente brindan información útil, conocimientos y buena vibra.
- Gran manera de ahorrar dinero para los tiempos difíciles, mientras puedo ayudar a otros con un voto a favor y recibir algunos ingresos en el camino.
- Un diario en línea donde se almacenan mis pensamientos e ideas para poder mirar hacia atrás cuando lo necesito, y que me paga por usarlo.
- ¡Mucho contenido de ecología y medicina natural que me inspira a salira a hacer cosas bonitas por este planeta!
I can't finish this post without giving a shoutout to @abundance.tribe (@tribesteemup), created by @kennyskitchen which has been a big game-changer for me. Their constant support has helped me to do many projects and grow towards the life I want. I recommend users who align with freedom, social justice, caring for the Earth and all its inhabitants, to go check out what it's about and participate.
