FADE INTO

INTRO

Zen music is playing softly in the background

What day is it again? Friday?
Another week has passed and we're 7 days closer to the end of the craziness that we're all more or less involved in. Or, to sound more optimistic, we have progressed more in the new world ;<)

Little Hyper, who has spent a lot of time meditating, listening to audio books, going on mindful walks and practicing his long distance social skills, managed to find 5 more posts and users that might make your daily life a little more ZEN. Five people who I recommend following instead of the news.

Let's introduce you to them in a bit

but first take a deep breath in...

hold your breath for a couple of seconds...

and let the air out with a sigh.

If that feels good, feel free to repeat the process.

@drrune

At first I didn't know how to pronounce his name, then I learnt that this man reads runes. So now I call him 'Dr Rune' ( pronounced as Doctor Rune )

This brand new member is a shaman but also describes himself as a 'Storyteller, Translator, Photographer and Designer'.

You can find his intro post here but the one that I selected for today is called About the Runes and Their Messages

At the end of the above post, he writes that he plans to

do daily Rune readings to share messages about the vibration and energies of the week with a wider audience.

Pretty awesome if you ask me.

And then, while looking for more content to curate, I stumbled upon this post - Art Workshop This Weekend - by Clare Galloway, username @clareartista

I felt not just like sharing it here but I think I'll actually partake in it ( via ZOOM ), this Sunday. I already installed Zoom. It would be fun if some of you can join me!

Clare is not your average day person - which I consider a big plus - she's not only an artist but also talks about all kind of mindful themes, presenting you with another perspective on the world or what we call 'reality'. She even has a podcast that she links to in this extremely interesting and timely post called What's Unfolding In The Now

@auelitairene

Our 'abuela from Venezuela'

The youngest grandmother I've ever met ( 24 years in her current body )

As she puts it:

Not only my pseudonym is that of a grandmother, but also my skills with technology are those of a grandmother, and that has been my challenge in the last month; between learning things like html programming and the use of discord which still costs me a lot,

This woman has made quite a name for herself in the short amount of time that she has spent on this platform, and I really like her energy, as well as the big smile she wears on her face on every single photo and video that I see of her.

Although all of her content is worth checking out, I selected this particular story for today's curation line up:

My Quarantine Diary - Beehive or Slot Machine?

"Oh behive!" as Austin Powers would say:

Mike Myers as Austin Powers - Source

Go read her full post and don't forget to give her a follow. You won't regret it.

@movingman

Picture from one of his older posts. He's the dog at the left ( just kidding )

I followed this guy's journey for a while and then lost track of him. He had been traveling through Spain with his bike and two dogs. He's a true nomad, sleeping in empty buildings and all. Then I learnt that he ended up at the property of my friend @trucklife-family who was kind enough to host him.

Although his blog is worth following overall, as it gives you a sense of freedom and a feel of what life outside the system ( in a more extreme way than just being a blockchain blogger ) looks like, I want to point you to this particular essay today:

Self Talk Republished

I leave you with a quote and suggest that you read the entire thing afterwards:

I have met many people in my life and many of them have had low self esteem or just treated their selves bad with no self love or go through their whole lives being angry especially toward their own self.

This Voice..
..has control of our lives, it has control of what will happen to us in the future and it controls our moods, our feelings and all other emotions and desires. It decides when we do anything and so that means it also decides when we dont do anything. It really does produce our immediate future which effects the long term future.

I'm still working on this process myself

And last but not least, I introduce you to @orlev who's starting an ecovillage in Portugal. He shared this podcast episode with us:

Ancient Civilizations - The Discomfort Zone Podcast

Apparently you can listen to this podcast LIVE, every Thursday, 22:00 UTC, on Discord.

As he writes:

Hi all,
In this episode I talk about the beginning of humanity and civilization. What is misinformation, disinformation, and what does all that have to do with the platypus...?

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction

he mentions at the start. An interesting thought, even more these days.

Go give it a listen HERE

FADE TO

OUTRO

Alright, that's it for today. This dino needs to do some evening chillin' and wants to eat his soup before it goes cold or even lukewarm.

Chilling ( something that existed long before the invention of Netflix) is highly underrated and nowadays more important than ever, for both mental and physical health

If you're feeling very tired yourself, don't feel bad about getting back to this post and the aforementioned users tomorrow, when you actually have the energy to leave them a comment.

Until next week and stay safe, sane and ZEN!
