Comparto nuevamente mi participación para esta semana en el New Contest:✂️ Felt World ✂️ que se ha convertido en mi concurso favorito de esta plataforma. Para esta semana, la invitación es a crear con fieltro. Así pues, busqué los materiales necesarios y me dispuse a elaborar un marcalibros. El motivo que escogí para hacerlo es una maceta con un cactus florecido. Estos detalles son muy útiles y siempre es bueno tener uno a mano. A mí me encantan y los he hecho hasta tejidos porque nunca dos o tres son suficientes.

I share again my entry for this week in the New Contest:✂️ Felt World ✂️ which has become my favorite contest on this platform. For this week, the invitation is to create with felt. So, I looked for the necessary materials and set out to make a bookmark. The motif I chose to make it is a flower pot with a blooming cactus. These details are very useful and it's always nice to have one on hand. I love them and have even knitted them because two or three are never enough.

- Scissors
- Thread and needle
- Decorated ribbons
- Hot glue
- Silicone gun

El primer paso que debemos hacer es marcar en el fieltro el molde de la figura que vamos a elaborar. Luego recortamos dos idénticas, porque vamos a coser las dos para rellenarlas.
The first step we must do is to mark on the felt the mold of the figure we are going to make. Then we cut out two identical ones, because we are going to sew them together to fill them.
Seguidamente, procedemos a coser las dos partes por todo el borde con el punto ojal o también llamado festón. Dejamos un espacio sin costura para introducir el relleno y terminamos la costura. Antes de este paso, hice unas equis (X) para simular las espinas.
Next, we proceed to sew the two parts all around the edge with the buttonhole stitch or also called festoon. Leave a seamless space to insert the stuffing and finish the stitching. Before this step, I made some X's to simulate the thorns.
Luego, adorné el cactus con unas florecitas de bisutería y la macetica con un corazón de fieltro.
Then, I decorated the cactus with a few flowers of costume jewelry and the pot with a felt heart.
Para terminar el marcalibros, le cosí una cinta en la base de la maceta y al final de esta, un detalle que repite el adorno de la maceta.
To finish the bookmark, I sewed a ribbon at the base of the pot and at the end of it, a detail that repeats the ornament of the pot.
Así quedó terminado el marcalibros y listo para usarlo con nuestro libro favorito.
