Is User Retention Improving on Hive?

In June/July of last year, I made a series of posts examining user retention on Hive, and attempting to find the underlying cause of low user retention.

Today I want to make a short update to measure and check if our user retention has improved in the intervening months. This post introduced the measurement of 'remainers' vs 'leavers', please read that if you find the below charts confusing.

Firstly, authors who stay to make a post again the next month vs. those who do not post again the next month.

Secondly, a chart which shows the same thing as a proportion.

Finally, we answer the question "Is the retention rate improving?" by charting the monthly proportion of users who "remain" as well as the 6 month moving average in red.

Perhaps retention naturally improves in a bear market, and while we still have a ways to go, it is clear that retention has been trending upwards in recent months, and indeed is higher than it has ever been historically (that includes the Steem days).
