These photos were taken on a drive from Salta along the paved road to Cafayate. Salta is a large city located in the north - west corner of Argentina. Cafayate is a small town, famous for its wine. Driving through the Quebrada de Cafayate you will se the landscape change from lush green field to a dramatic landscape of colored sandstone and rockformation that comes in different shapes. Many of the distinctive landformes are named and sighnposted. We just stopped along the way and did some walking to enjoy the landscape.
