Today I present you my WhimsicOwl and show you all the steps.
Even if I have not yet finished my project with her, I will share in image the creation process behind this soft green eyes owl 😊

Bonjour les amis du Vendredi !

Aujourd'hui je vous présente ma jolie chouette et vous en montre toutes les étapes.
Même si je ne suis pas encore arrivée au bout de mon projet avec elle, je vais partager en image le processus de création derrière cette chouette aux doux yeux verts 😊

As you can see in the pictures below, I started with a simple drawing, then I detailed the plumage, and it's true that there are a lot of feathers but I love doing that, it's very meditative by the repetition of the pattern in fact 😉

Comme vous le voyez dans les images ci-dessus, j'ai commencé par un dessin simple, puis j'ai détaillé le plumage, et c'est vrai qu'il y a beaucoup de plumes mais j'adore faire ça, c'est très méditatif dans la répétition du motif en fait 😉

Then I went to colorization, using colored pencils that I watercolored with a wet brush,
using either a normal brush or a water reservoir brush

---> I use one or the other according to my need of water because the brush with reservoir distributes a lot of water, whereas when I use a normal brush I can control myself its humidity level and therefore better balance the pigmentation ...

Then I sculpted a little bit of relief with my felts blured with a Q-tip, as usual

Puis je suis passée à la colorisation, en utilisant des crayons de couleurs que j'ai aquarellés au pinceau humide,
utilisant soit un pinceau normal, soit un pinceau à réservoir d'eau

---> j'utilise l'un ou l'autre en fonction de mon besoin en eau car le pinceau à réservoir distribue beaucoup d'eau, alors que quand j'utilise un pinceau normal je peux controler moi-même son degré d'humidité et donc mieux doser le rendu en pigmentation...

Puis j'ai sculpté un peu de relief avec mes feutres estompés au coton tige, comme à l'accoutumée

Here is the intermediate result, I will continue with this owl for which I have a more digital idea, but for now I stop there and enjoy admiring her pretty little pink cheeks ...

I wonder if it is the fresh winter air or the shyness that makes her cheek blush ..? 😊

Voilà le résultat intermédiaire, je vais continuer avec cette chouette pour laquelle j'ai une idée plus digitale, mais pour l'instant je m'arrête là et profite d'admirer ses jolies petites joues roses...
