This is my entry into the Gaugan Contest brought to us by @steemean.
How I Made This Image
Once again, I was unable to upload my own picture to Gaugan. I hope the current instability of the tool is a sign of them improving it rather than a sign of them abandoning it. I really enjoy playing.
Anyway, I decided to make an island like what @shrazi did one week. Unfortunately, that plan didn't work as I wanted it to... so I altered my course and continued, making this a small island off the coast.
I tried dotting some houses on there, but that made a mess... the fog didn't work quite as I intended either. So, when all else fails, add a waterfall... and a skyline. The shoreline flowers worked better when I surrounded them with grass or straw, but not set into bushes this time (though that has worked other times.)
I really add flowers to add more color in general as that seems to be one of Gaugan's weaknesses.
In the end, this is where I stopped.
Other Results
I like several of these results. It was hard to choose just one for the contest.
These were my second (^ above) and third (v below) favorite versions of this image.
