Good night!! I hope you had a good day today! I'll say the same even if it's not so much like that! but , well , tonight I want to show you what I did recently, trying out this material a little more.

Something I love about charcoal is that you can be free to draw and with a couple of strokes you can create something. And if some of them remain in the final part, they look good according to me. Well, I don't know if it's good, haha, I just like how they look.

Something to point out is that I'm a bad photographer and it bothers me that the final result doesn't show the texture that I see when I have them in my hands. It's something that I'll improve for the next time. And again, well, I got covered in charcoal. 😂🤣😅😅😅

To make this drawing I have used the following materials:

I have started to make the sketch, trying to use the tip of the charcoal. I remember that when I bought the box, there were several sizes, but well, I didn't have, nor do I have much experience, so I bought some that are a bit thick, so it's not so easy to do small things.

Before I had only done what was the idea of the face, but I had to complete a little more, like the neck and so on, so I did it in this step. Something that I must say is that in this step, although I wanted to make a woman, she still seemed to have some masculine features. Well, although it was not something that worried me, there was still a long way to go.

I used the same cotton technique to soften the stripes (btw , it is a technique?) that had remained from the previous step, that helped me to detail and fill in all the places. With the help of a conventional eraser and an electric one, I cleaned some areas. Also in this step, I improved the features of the girl's face.

As I progressed, I detailed a little more and tried to keep the canvas as clean as possible in those areas where the drawing would not be. But well, that is not an easy thing, since my hands were all stained and sometimes my own clumsiness spoiled the drawing.

I wanted to make that contrast between the darkness and the lightest, that's why there is a lot of darkness in the hair and also, since I didn't have it so detailed, with the tip of the charcoal I made some curls, so , she shows that she has hair ahaahaa.

To finish, what I have done in digital is to accentuate the color of the eyes a little bit, because with charcoal it still doesn't catch the color very well. Also, I have added some small points of light.

That shadow that was created in the final result is from the table. I had other photos, but I liked this one with that. I thought it looked good, haha.
