Are You Afraid of Your Own Success?
This latest question, was put forward by @elamental and we got a wonderful response from lots of amazing folk on the platform.
One of the things that I love about this platform, is the huge diversity of people that use it. This was so evident in the responses we got to this question. Because, success means different things to different people and through their gift of sharing their life experiences with us , we gained so much more insight and awareness.
Being aware is so important right now, because it allows us to act with compassion and understanding and hopefully leads us towards acceptance. We are all on our own paths right now, but giving others the freedom to be who their are, is such a wonderful gift.
Success is something that is up to each individual to discover for themselves, it can cover many things or it can just represent one. That is for each of us to decide, for it is our actions that lead us there and our ability to overcome our fears and embrace ourselves for who we are.
We have so much to learn from one another. So it is important to provide opportunities, in which we can share our experiences and create better understanding as we move forward. Once again this question provided just that.
We had 14 answers in total and in the spirit of Abundance one of those writers will receive 20% of the payout of this post (myself not included obviously). I assigned a number to each response and asked one of my daughters to pick a number. She choose number 7, which was for @chireerocks response. Many people are reluctant to admit that they are afraid because they are afraid they are considered weak or unable. Though there is no harm in feeling fear facing all the uncertainty and discomfort of the new experience that awaits you in front. What's more wrong and unproductive is when you avoid fear by continuing to walk in the same place in your life.

In life, we are moved by our aspirations. We set goals, work towards them with the intention of achieving them.
Not many of these goals are actualised. Many dreams die even before they started while others were actualised after many obstacles.
The driving force for many of us is the believe that we will achieve our goals/dreams. Once they are achieved, we consider ourselves being successful in that regard.

What does Success Mean?
Success = A result of all the hard work and efforts that one puts in.
Is'nt it?
So when success is a result of my own efforts and hard work why should I be afraid of bearing the consequences of it. I would never be. Rather I would look forward to see the fruits of my efforts and celebrate it.
I would not be afraid of my success, I will celebrate my success with a lot of bang

Hello friends, first of all I would like to thank abundance.tribe for taking this initiative of biweekly question. It really broaden your thought about the issues by brainstorming or by reading fellow members post. Now this biweekly question is
Are you afraid of your own success?
My straight answer for this question is yes. May be strange answer for many people. Majority of time we relates fear with failure. But believe me people also get easily afraid of getting success. Hard to believe but it's a fact of life.

If you ask me, am I afraid of my own success?
The answer is yes, I am.
I wasn't afraid before today.
But a post made me question myself, about my past and do I want to repeat it?
Before explaining myself, let me share a famous story with you all.
I believe that all of you must have heard the story of a poor farmer who found gold while ploughing his fields.
Being so poor, he had never seen so much wealth in his life. He was scared that someone will steal that gold from him.

I have several times stepped back from the precipice of so-called success.
Indeed, I KNOW I have created obstacles or not responded to people or opportunities because there has been a resistance within. I would not call it a fear, although others have. Indeed, most of those others who have claimed-accused that I have fear of success have had financial investment in me taking a particular path. And been annoyed that I have chosen to step back.

Hello Guys!
In this video i have tried my best to give answer of a question asked by @abundance.tribe "Are you afraid of your own success?" this question had attracted me a lot hence i decided that i will give answer from video post. I am the man who even never afraid from my own failure so it is doesn't matter i will win or not? but it is my habit to keep trying. Please listen me then decide. Success means different things to different people. If we are to follow the path that the educational system teaches us or what the media corporations bombard us with, then success is gained by material wealth and occupational status. In their eyes success is something that has to be gained, through certain steps and standards all which come from the expectations of others.

Well, I don't know if age implies, for the development of our activities in life, but the truth is that for me experiences, learning or whatever you want to call them, are important. Yes, our life is divided into stages, and according to each one of them is our development. I lived stage by stage, I was neither ahead nor behind. I did not do like my sisters, they came of age, they married and thus they formed a family. No, I decided to study first, develop myself professionally and later make my personal life the way I thought it would be the best for me and my future children.

My Answer: I used to think I could answer this question with a big fat NO! Who wouldn't want success after all? There is a certain comfort in working in the background or hiding in the shadows. There is less responsibility if things do not work out, since it is not you who is putting forth the full measure of devotion. It is always easier and safer to assist instead of taking charge.

Fear always exists, for different reasons and circumstances, but he is there latent willing to make an appearance in our lives. I must say that many times I was afraid of success, I guess because of the unknown and also because of age. Sometimes I was presented with opportunities to succeed and get ahead, but fear outweighed any attempt to succeed.

We all have been & experienced various phases of this life. The good, the bad & the the ugly. But by the end of it we all come out as a champ. We just need to keep gaining from each experience.
When you ask someone, “where do you see yourself 5 years down the line?”, the answers is, “successful in life”.
Yes everyone wants to be successful in whatever they are doing. They wish to achieve great heights and make a name for themselves. But then one needs to know how to handle the success once they achieve it.

There are so many good posts which are enjoyed so fleetingly, or perhaps not at all. Maybe it was published before you joined Hive or not yet following that author? Or that was the week you were fasting in a yurt in Mongolia without wifi? Life happens and the 7 day post rewards window is short. Many would say too short.
