Yesterday I walked around my garden with a few friends who had popped over to chat about a community project that we may start - a kind of environmental, alternative hub with a strong focus on community bonds and alternative economies. She'd given me this twisted, spectacular gourd and I gave her a bunch of lime pickle and a small jar of St John's Wort oil, handfuls of mugwort and tulsi, and a few cherry tomatoes. It felt good being able to share, especially medicinal herbs, which most people don't dive into, though they'd like to.

Mercury retrograde this week – going with the flow

With Mercury in retrograde motion now in the night sky, since two days ago, from earth’s point of view, my writing has slowed down a bit and I’m not so compulsively driven to produce content. My inner taskmaster has taken a back seat so that I can just relax and not feel so obliged by habit or the need to be productive. When your temperament is rajasic like mine, there is a tendency to have to do. For now, I can’t simply go on attempting to chase some pennies here on the social media blog sites, but rather just relax and do something less goal oriented.

Hey there HIVE, for those who haven't read me before, I'm currently building a small forest shelter in the early stages. It will eventually be a house, but right now it's basically a big tent made of willow and recycled plastic, as well as geotextile leftovers.

A lot of you know I have been diving deep into the world of re-wilding and more so lately in the world of Freedom and the Agora.

In the freedom sphere there are a lot of people from very different walks of life, from the extreme right, gun nut, conspiracy theorist, libertarian, prepper, homesteader, anarchist, agorist, hippy, punk, philosopher, dreamer, activist, you name it, people of every color, to (believe it or not) the extreme left.

Kenny Palurintano is known as “Conscious Kenny”, the traveler, plant-based chef and all-round nice guy. Kenny is known to spend his time going to Rainbow Gatherings and other festivals where freedom is enjoyed and celebrated.
Last week in Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico, Kenny joined Kurt to tell some of his life story. Once he was young and depressed, starting his marriage after high school, then ending his marriage, and finding himself in a very dark place, abusing alcohol and other drugs, and deliberately getting into fights.

Indian Farmers Protest - Everyone is talking about it, but no outcome

The whole farmer protest in India is now getting into a different angle. I have been closely following this protest and also supporting it till now wholeheartedly. Though it is now getting skeptical where it's leading to.
A lot of other celebrities' and activist globally have suddenly started taking interest in this whole issue, and are outraged against the Modi government. Suddenly we hear the state governments getting into their support, then comes Rihanna with her tweet in the support of farmers, then comes our Ms. Greta the biggest puppet into picture, making a statement on twitter "We stand in solidarity with the Farmer protest in India."

Our concept of self! Seeing ourselves as separate entities, being educated about the importance of finding our own way in the world. Yet being forced to conform to a way of life that makes us enmeshed within the system. I look back over my life and the role that religion played in disconnecting so many from the natural world.

Living In Creation Is All That Is Left

The fact that competition is inimical to societal betterment is today heavily documented and evidenced by biology, not to mention that many (real) gurus and spiritualists have warned us about this throughout history.
Stress has been found to rearrange our brain patterns turning the adrenaline and cortisol buttons on and off. Competition is very stressful. There is nothing more threatening than the fear to be left behind if not competing enough.
