Cuando leí el título de la invitación de la comunidad Humanitas, lo primero que pensé fue “La teología es una disciplina que no conozco”, pero al continuar leyendo me pareció que podía aportar mis ideas en este tema tan interesante para la humanidad.
La teología es la disciplina que estudia la naturaleza de Dios y sus atributos, así como del conocimiento que tiene el ser humano sobre la divinidad.
En esta iniciativa Humanistas lo lleva a ese lugar más personal, el conocimiento que cada persona tiene sobre Dios.
Cuando tuve conciencia de la existencia de Dios fue a través de la Religión y este Dios era todopoderoso, creador del cielo y de la tierra como reza el Padre Nuestro. Dios estaba en todos partes y el cielo era su morada donde iban las almas buenas. Había que portarse bien para al morir, ir al cielo y estar a su lado, la existencia de una vida más allá de la muerte. También aprendí que la comunicación con Dios era a través de la oración y de esta manera se le podía pedir ayuda y protección. La Iglesia era un recinto sagrado donde el contacto con Dios era más cercano y los curas eran la representación de Dios en la Tierra. Todos este conocimiento, por supuesto provenían de la religión católica que era la que mi madre y mi abuela me inculcaron.
Hubo una etapa de mi vida donde mi Dios seguía siendo el Dios todopoderoso, pero con el que tenía poco contacto, lo veía más como un Dios alejado de las personas, que infundía miedo y al cual se le atribuía el poder para castigar las malas acciones. Un Dios que envía el diluvio como castigo a la humanidad. Llegué a sentirme en desacuerdo con este Dios. Si sucedía algo malo, decíamos “es castigo de Dios”. El poder del perdón también lo cuestionaba, pensaba que, si una persona hacia algo malo, debía haber una consecuencia de las acciones, pero podía confesarse y Dios lo perdonaba. Tenía conflictos con la Biblia el libro sagrado de Dios, pensaba que, ya que lo habían escrito los hombres, su interpretación no era divina sino terrenal.
FuenteLa creación del mundo era otra de mis muchas dudas. Creía y sigo creyendo en la evolución de los seres vivos, pero esto no implica la negación de la intervención de un ser superior. Hay muchas interrogantes en el universo y no es fácil poder explicarlas, sin la existencia de Dios. No hay respuesta para esto.
Esta manera de ver a Dios ha cambiado con el tiempo no solo por mi experiencia personal y por una evolución de la conciencia, sino también influido por la lectura de libros que hablan sobre Dios, que me han llevado a reflexionar. Las palabras libre albedrio fueron parte de la respuesta a mis dudas. El humano tiene voluntad para pensar, para actuar, es decir que Dios es un ser superior, pero al mismo tiempo nos hizo a su imagen y semejanza y esto tiene mucho significado y es que podemos acercarnos a Dios, ya no como un ser alejado sino como un ser muy cercano, tan cercano que podemos sentirlo en nuestro interior. Un Dios con el que podemos comunicarnos y sigo creyendo que la oración es una buena manera de hacerlo.
Creo en un Dios que es amor y protección, que se manifiesta a través del espíritu y que de alguna manera nos envía mensajes y repuestas a nuestras plegarias y preguntas. Hay que aprender a sentirlas, a interpretarlas. Un Dios que tiene diferentes nombres dependiendo de la religión: Jehová, Alá, Brahma, Viracocha y otros, pero que en esencia es el mismo Dios. La vida es un camino de aprendizaje en el cual estamos acompañados de Dios, él es parte de nosotros, y nosotros somos parte de él.

Esta frase que pronunció Jesús, yo la interpreto de la siguiente manera
La primera parte de esta frase Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida, es un llamado a ver a Jesús como un ejemplo para todos los hombres. Seguir este ejemplo es acercarse a Dios, a través de las acciones, es alejarse de la maldad que existía en aquellos tiempos y que sigue existiendo en la humanidad.
La segunda parte de la frase Nadie viene al padre sino a través de mi, yo la interpreto como un llamado a acercarse a Jesús, a seguirlo, como un canal de comunicación directa entre el hombre y Dios. Me imagino que en esa época, en la cual las personas tenían distintas creencias, con la llegada de Jesús se comienza a creer en la existencia de un único Dios, del hijo y del espíritu santo. Es el conocimiento que abre una puerta de comunicación entre Dios y los hombres a través de las enseñanzas de Jesús.
Creer en la existencia de Dios es un acto de fe, de ver más allá de lo que los cinco sentidos lo permiten, es un continuo descubrimiento de las posibilidades que existen en esta comunicación, en este permanente aprendizaje, creo que la vida es un regalo que debemos agradecer y a veces los pensamientos no nos dejan ver la claridad de este mensaje.

When I first became aware of the existence of God it was through religion and this God was almighty, creator of heaven and earth as the Lord's Prayer says. God was everywhere and heaven was his dwelling place where good souls went. One had to behave well in order to go to heaven and be at his side at death, the existence of a life beyond death. I also learned that communication with God was through prayer and in this way one could ask him for help and protection. The Church was a sacred precinct where contact with God was closer and the priests were the representation of God on Earth. All these concepts of course came from the Catholic religion which was the one my mother and grandmother instilled in me.
There was a stage in my life where my God was still the almighty God, but with whom I had little contact, I saw him more as a God far away from people, who instilled fear and to whom was attributed the power to punish bad actions. A God who sends the flood as punishment for humanity. I came to feel at odds with this God. If something bad happened, we said it was God's punishment. I also questioned the power of forgiveness, I thought that if a person did something wrong, then confessed and God forgave him, there must be a consequence for the actions. I had conflicts with the Bible, God's holy book, I thought that, since it was written by men, its interpretation was not divine but earthly.

I believed and still believe in the evolution of living beings, but this does not imply the denial of the intervention of a superior being. There are many questions in the universe, how to explain them, without the existence of God. There is no answer to this.
This way of seeing God has changed over time not only because of my personal experience and a different conscience, but also because of the influence of reading books that talk about a God that have led me to reflect. The words free will were part of the answer to my doubts. The human being has the will to think, to act, that is to say that God is a superior being, but at the same time he made us in his image and likeness and this has a lot of meaning and it is that we can approach God, no longer as a distant being but as a very close being, so close that we can feel him in our interior. A God with whom we can communicate and I still believe that prayer is a way to do so.
I believe in a God who is love and protection that manifests itself through the spirit and that somehow sends us messages and answers to our prayers and questions, we must learn to feel them, to interpret them. A God that has different names depending on the religion Jehovah, Allah, Brahma, Viracocha and other names but in essence is the same God. Life is a path of learning in which we are accompanied by God, he is part of us, and we are part of him.

I am the way, the truth and the life is a call to see Jesus as an example for all men. To follow this example is to come closer to God, through actions, is to move away from the evil that existed in those times and that continues to exist in humanity.
I interpret this phrase No one comes to the father except through me, as a call to come closer to Jesus, to follow him, as a channel of direct communication between man and God. I imagine a time when people had different beliefs and with the arrival of Jesus they began to believe in the existence of one God, of the son and of the holy spirit. It is the knowledge that opens a door of communication between God and men through the teachings of Jesus.
Believing in the existence of God is an act of faith, of seeing beyond what the five senses allow, it is a continuous discovery of the possibilities that exist in this communication, in this permanent learning. I believe that life is a gift that we should be grateful for and sometimes our thoughts do not allow us to see the clarity of this message.
