So, like always i will try to make this a simple answer easy to understand and short to read so new users can get the info they need to understand Hive better, here we go...

Hive believes that the users of the platform should receive the benefits and rewards for their attention and the contributions they make to the platform.
The Hive blockchain continually creates new digital tokens and it allocates a majority of the new tokens 65% to be exact, to a reward fund called the "rewards pool" use to reward content creators and curators. So the newly-created tokens are transferred to users who add value to Hive by posting, commenting, and voting on other people's posts.

So, Where Does The Money On Your Posts Come From On Hive?
The amount that is shown next to a post is a "Potential Payout". This is an estimated value of how much money the post will make based on the votes that have occurred so far.
By creating and sharing your posts, you can earn upvotes from community members. Depending on the upvotes you receive and their worth, you may get a portion of the "rewards pool".
So, if your post gets discover by a curator he/she upvotes it, the more voting power the curator has the more their upvote will be worth. your post will then show the value of said upvote, If a post receives more upvotes from users with enough Hive Power, the potential payout of the post can go up.

La cantidad que se muestra al lado de una publicaci贸n es un "pago potencial". Este es un valor estimado de cu谩nto dinero ganar谩 la publicaci贸n en funci贸n de los votos que se han producido hasta ahora.

Please always keep in mind that most of the authors that you see earning high rewards are users that have spent a lot of time in the network building followings, making connections with others, and developing a reputation for bringing high quality content.
It is best to have realistic expectations when you are first starting out. there is not guarantee that if you make a post you will get upvotes or if you do that those votes will have any value sometimes they are from users with not enough Hive Power to make their votes worth much.
Tenga siempre en cuenta que la mayor铆a de los autores que ve que obtienen altas recompensas son usuarios que han pasado mucho tiempo en la red creando seguidores, estableciendo conexiones con otros y desarrollando una reputaci贸n de ofrecer contenido de alta calidad.
Es mejor tener expectativas realistas cuando reci茅n comienza. no hay garant铆a de que si haces una publicaci贸n obtendr谩s votos positivos o si haces que esos votos tendr谩n alg煤n valor, a veces son de usuarios con poco poder de colmena para que sus votos valgan mucho.
