Hi. My Steemit name is gems.and.cookies.

In real life my name is Ruel Sevilla.
I am from Davao City, Philippines. I am married to Josefa and we have 3 children: Diego, Noelle and Jacinta.

I actually feel that I am a bit too old for this but upon the insistence of my daughters I joined Steemit because they believe I have a few things of value which I can share.

My daughter's are @noellesevilla and @jacinta.sevilla, I am also not so tech savy so I often ask them to help me with my steemit as well. My son, Diego also joined steemit but is still preparing his content. He will write about poems and literature.

Joining Steemit

My daughters think I should write about business topics and share these in Steemit. We’ll see about that. I may have a few ideas which may be worth sharing.

• I went to Ateneo de Davao highschool.
• I am a graduate of the University of the Philippines in Diliman
• with a degree in Economics and have a Masters in Business Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management.
  
  I currently work as a financial consultant for one of the biggest Life Insurance Companies in the Philippines.

I have also traveled to many places which I will share in my next posts!

I play the Piano, guitar and I love playing Chess, these are my favorite hobbies!
And I jog a lot!

But foremost

in my mind why I agreed to join Steemit is I find it a wonderful opportunity to honor one of my best friends from college who passed away a few years ago.

If you have read my very first post you will know why I have this strong urge to pay homage to this particular friend of mine by sharing with you what he shared with me.
