While I think it's fine if we don't always want to share what is going on in our lives with everyone, especially when things are not that great, a good conversation with someone who is close to us and who we trust, can be very helpful for many reasons. First, we will feel relieved once we let everything out. Second, we get a new perspective as we tell our story and finally, we realize, with the help of the person listening, that there is a way out from any situation no matter how hard or complicated it might be.

In this post I want to focus more on asking YOURSELF the important question "How do I feel?". You can meditate upon this question, write pages about it, you can go for a walk or sit still outdoors, in nature, or create a relaxing atmosphere inside, even take a bath and just spend time with yourself. In our busy daily lives, we often forget to slow down and re-connect with our inner self. Having that Me, myself & I moment is not selfish, it is necessary.

FEEL GOOD TIPS AND TRICKS:
Clean your space: Clear space, clear mind they say and I totally agree. As someone who had too much stuff for a tiny space, once I purged and started to keep my room as tidy as possible, I noticed that is a lot more calming and enjoyable spending time in a nice, clean space rather than being surrounded by mess.
Get rid off stuff that gives you bad energy/vibes: If you (like me) believe that everything has energy, you might find that a certain clothes, smells, songs or photos remind you of some of the best or not that nice moments in your life. I deleted all the sad songs from my music folder, all the pictures that does not bring good memories/emotions from my photo folder and I even threw away printed photos that has bad vibes for me. Any piece of clothes that I put on and reminds me of something I would rather forget goes away. The point is to let go of anything that has a bad vibe for you, life is too short to be reminded of unpleasant memories. Good vibes only!
Let the nature recharge you: Nature has the power to heal, make us feel better and connected. Every time I spend time in nature, I feel like my mind had a well needed cleanse. And for some reason, when I'm out there, on the ground and under the sky, watching the spacious horizon in front of me, all my problems seem a lot smaller and it's so much easier to let go of any negative thoughts.

Write it all out: I always mention this, but only because I really believe it makes a huge difference. Writing down everything that is going on in your head can make you feel like the weight has been lifted off of your shoulders. You can later use those writings to re-read them, they can help you set your goals and priorities, help you solve problems. You can even rip that piece of paper to pieces or burn it, as a way to let go.
Do something you enjoy: Whatever brings that little sparkle in you, do it! It can be singing, dancing, painting, reading, making crafts, cooking or baking, learning a new language, playing an instrument... Taking time to do something that brings you joy and lets you express yourself is time well spent. And if there's something you had on your to-do list for a long time but never got around to do it, now is the moment. Let the creativity guide you!
Let the positive people recharge you: You don't even have to talk about what's bothering you. Spending some time with positive, uplifting people will instantly make your mood go over the roof! If they are crazy, silly, funny and have stupid jokes - that's a bonus! And if you're one of those people - you are precious!
Move your body: My favorite way to shake it off is (surprise, surprise) Zumba! Loud music and crazy energy while sweating it out really helps letting go of the stress and negative energy. Any physical activity will do the same - no matter if it's a high intensity workout, a simple walk or some yoga/stretching. Find what works the best for you and feel free to do an activity according to your mood.

Be grateful: Gratitude is one of the most powerful and beneficial things to practice daily, from the bottom of your heart. And if you don't know where to start, try with the fact that you are alive, that you were able to witness another day on this Earth. Give thanks for all the people you have in your life, your morning coffee, your dog or cat, food that you eat, clothes that you wear... I have my 100 things I am grateful for list written down in my notebook that I like to go back to whenever I catch myself complaining about stupid things.

What is your number one thing that makes you feel better? Share in the comments below so we can all inspire each other. And remember, if nothing else works, you can always watch funny cat videos on Youtube and eat chocolate. :D
