This is my entry for @tobetada's Welcome To The 'Love The Clouds' Contest! #48 -- 5 SBI Prize Pool!
This photo was taken in februar this year, in the North-Western part of Argentina. The place is Salinas Grandes. This is a spectacular salt flat 3350 m above sea level. It is the third largest salt flat in the world and the largest in Argentina. It boasts some of the most spectacular scenery you can imagine. When wet after rain, it becomes a giant mirror creating stunning reflections of the blue sky on the surface of the salt flat, while walking on it. The wet season is january – march which is the time when it is flooded. This is the time to visit, if you wish to see the reflections on the surface of the flats. Otherwise, the rest of the year it will be dry.
