How to Remember Names: Larry Page

Another day, another celebrity's name we dissect.

After doing Sergey Brin yesterday, today we tackle the other Google co-founder: Larry Page.

The Person

First we need our memory anchor. That will be Larry himself. Look at him. What feature sticks out?

I am settling for his massive eyebrows.

Larry

His first name seems very easy. But don't let that fool you. You can forget it just as fast as any other name without a connection. So what do we do with it? Well, I think the word LORRY sounds perfectly similar.

Page

His family name couldn't be any easier. It directly encodes into a concrete object: a PAGE.

The Story

Ok, let's bring it all together, shall we? There is a tiny British LORRY (imagine it with the British flag or something reminding you that we are not talking about the word "truck" here) driving on Larry's massive eyebrow. That tickles! He carefully rips a page out of a book and holds it to the Lorry to let it drive on that instead. Now he plays with his new toy.

Here is your collector card for Larry:
