In the conclusion of my previous post, I shared my thought about CPU mining being funny but worthless.
We also saw the minimal effect of the multi-thread bug fix on the mining queue for CPU miners. supercomputing and rabbit were still both dominating. But since then, a new event completely changed the game.
Zcash mining started
The 28th of October, the Zcash blockchain turned live as the genesis block was released. People all around the planet have begun mining on it.
So did supercomputing on the 29th of October, leaving a giant hole for rabbit
rabbit jumped to a 80% mining queue share for a few days before others miners reacted.
The "still running" mining nodes immediately grabbed their part of the pie, followed by other miners who restarted their nodes at beginning of November.
Unfortunately, it didn't last long and only a few powerful miners were able to mine efficiently.
rabbit once again decided to strike back and is now at the same ratio as he was end of October.
Conclusion
Anyway, there is still around 22% of pows available to others CPU miners and several people are already fighting to get their part.
Time to jump on the ring !
