If you are a horror movie fan, then you have probably seen more than one “media” based horror movie. From video cassettes in VHS and The Ring to horror clichés such as what we got with the Scream series, it seems to have all been done in horror movies. Well, Polaroid thinks there is one more media idea that has not yet been done to death in horror movies. Pictures.
Bird Fitcher, a high school loner, discovers an old Polaroid camera and decides to use it. She doesn’t quite realize what she has done till it is too late for some of her friends and family. Bird realizes that everyone she takes a picture of using the Polaroid camera seem to meet an untimely, and gruesome, death.
Polaroid is written by Blair Butler and stars Kathryn Prescott, Mitch Pileggi, Grace Zabriskie, Tyler Young, Keenan Tracey, Samantha Logan, Priscilla Quintana, Madelaine Petsch and Javier Botet. Polaroid is currently in production in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
