The garden in winter

Quite a while ago (Well in steemit terms.) I posted some pictures of my garden that I'd taken earlier in the summer so with a hard frost this morning I thought I'd take some time away from my large bag of onions (See ealier post today to make sense of that.) and take a few photographs of how it looks now.

My ealier garden post is here if you want to have a look at it.

So the leaves have finally dropped and litter the floor, well it is almost December although a few hardy leaves still cling to the branches.

The willow in particular is looking forlorn with the last leaves of the summer shrivelled and dying.

Around the pond though things look more green still.

Although even here some of the plants have died off for the year.

I tend to leave the garden to be as natural as possible so the clean up of it won't start until the spring when life returns and the frogs reappear to fill up the pond with another years tadpoles.
