I have been reporting for weeks on the general subject of snowflakes in academia, but they aren't all hunkered down in their "safe spaces" with crayons and puppies...some of them actually graduate and then try using their college-educated whining skills at work.
How bad has it gotten?
Brittany Hughes tells us about a dude that actually tried to con his employer, J.P. Morgan, an Evil Capitalist Enclave Filled With Old White Guys, to give him sixteen weeks of paid paternal leave because...well, just because. To the surprise of absolutely no one capable of walking and chewing gum at the same time, his employer refused the request...so now the snowflake is suing because, er, J.P. Morgan won't give him a paid vacation so he can "bond" with his new son.
Please don't tell me you have not been warned - but even I, as, um, "snowflake-conscious" as I possibly could be, wasn't prepared for Ashley Goldenberg's report about the UK's Strathclyde University reminding students, er, not to poop in the showers...or waste baskets: "Given the incidence of people pooing in bins, showers and the likes – can I please remind all TIC [Technology and Innovation Centre] occupants that the toilets have been provided for that specific purpose..."
Color me blindsided.

The Michigan Daily's summer editorial board recently came out in strident opposition to two bills proposed by state lawmakers to protect free speech on college campuses.
The editors are upset that the bills would allow students to be punished for repeatedly infringing on the First Amendment rights of others, saying students should be free to forcefully shut down "hate speech."
Shortly after sending the email, a spokeswoman for the school issued an apology, claiming the email violated the school’s “institutional values.”
“The email contained sentiments completely contrary to our institutional values and should not have been sent,” the spokeswoman said. “It was recalled as soon as it came to our attention and we swiftly issued an apology to staff.”
When he requested the full 16 weeks off from work, Rotondo said his employer told him that in order to get the benefit, he’d have to prove he was going to be his newborn son’s primary caregiver – meaning he had to prove his wife was either heading back to work, or was medically unable to care for her son by herself.
But Rotondo’s wife wasn’t going back to work – in fact, he explained she’s a substitute teacher who’s already off for the entire summer. So by Rotondo’s own admission, he’s not asking for 16 weeks off because he needs them – he merely wants them.
Some parents don’t like the competition, either, saying the students place too much emphasis on rankings and can lead to negative perceptions of themselves.

It is not a coincidence that left-wing blacks and sharia-compliant Muslims appear to be joining forces to make absolute demands on society that contravene Western principles. No matter how much progress black Americans have made and no matter how much accommodation is given to Muslim students, it is vital to understand that the demands will never cease, since the ultimate aim is to diminish and eventually destroy Western values. Consequently, "their focus is clearly on creating a racial division on campus." In fact, "students push to exclude many from their part of campus but force Islam studies."
