I heard this song again on the radio recently and decided I had to try it. My version is a little slower than Elton's, but I like the different feel. Makes it more emotional I think.
This is entered in the #openmic contest run by @luzcypher and sponsored by @pfunk. Those guys do an amazing job running a contest that has just grown and grown. I believe I entered half of them so far, but I'm trying to do it every week now. You don't have to be the greatest musician to get something out of it. I know I am unlikely to win these days, but it's still fun to be part of it.
