My actual, overall portfolio on Dutch beaches in one of all shades grey, brown, (muted, pastel) green. But here I am, on that same grey/brown beach, where the setting sun just added ton of colour to the sky.
In some of my shots I see black dots on the red blob of sun. It's like the birds want to actually touch the sun, getting to it as close as possible. Of course, if I were to go to the spot where the birds actually are gathering, it's just the middle of the ocean, not that much closer to the sun than me who is still standing on the beach.
I do wonder what this behaviour is though - is there that 'last ray of sunshine' on that part of the ocean that all birds fly to before taking a rest themselves? Like a little sunset party birds fly to every night?
