So, on the same hike I last posted here, we came across this really nice creek that we decided to drop down into. We could tell from the terrain that if we stayed up on the ridge, we were likely to get blocked on our descent by cliffs (we were right as well) so we took this awesome little creek for the 4-5 km trip back.

It turned out to be quite an amazing place that I don't many people have ever seen, as there were no trails, no evidence of anyone ever there and certainly not easy to get to. Once we made our way down the ravine, the creek had a lot of deadfall in it to avoid, but some really beautiful falls and ice flows as well.
Its deeply shaded in this creek's ravine, so most of the melting is just creating icicles so far.
We had our micro spikes for walking the ice safely, which was an absolute necessity in this creek, as we got to walk several kilometers of ice flow while avoiding the trees and boulders along the way.
Many many steep sections we had to navigate around, most were easy with spots along side and only a meter or less of falls, but some required some real climbing down logs/rocks and ice to bypass the higher drops.
This may not look that big but its about a 3m drop plus all the slopes flows then down below it. Super nice scenery with all the moss in this creek though, it was magical!
Another large falls and wide cliff band in the creek valley. An awesome place to find.
it was so interesting to see the ice sculptures
And this shows one of the coolest, multi tiered stepped set of fallse I've seen along such a small creek. The sides were all moss covered rocks and beautiful trees all around. An awesome little paradise in the forest.
I hope you enjoyed this set from my latest hiking adventures. 4 days till the next one, haha.
