The texture of cauliflower is perfect for substitute rice. The result is very similar to rice, but of course it tastes better and healthier.
Cooking cauliflower into a texture like rice is a tricky thing. When the cauliflower is grated, it will give off an unpleasant aroma. But you don't need to worry about that.
The cooking time cannot be too long because the texture will be too soft and feels no longer fresh.
Cauliflower is a type of Cruciferous vegetable
Consuming vegetables that are included in the Cruciferous group will be able to avoid cardiovascular disease.
Cauliflower is also a good source of fiber and water source.
So all those reasons can be a good thing for you to eat cauliflowers.
I will share the cauliflower rice recipe for you, and I will make sure the cooking method will be easy.
Ingredients
- A bunch of cauliflowers (300 grams)
- 100 grams of carrots
- 3 cloves of red onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- pepper
- a bay leaf
- Celery or cilantro
How to cook
- Step 1
Grated cauliflower. Don't remove the stems. Grated cauliflower stems.
Chopped carrots.
- Step 2
Chopped garlic and red onion.
- Step 3
Heat the oil. Then saute the chopped onion until fragrant. Add pepper, salt, celery or cilantro and bay leaves.
- Step 4
Add the chopped carrots. Cook for a while, about 1 minute.
- Step 5
Add grated cauliflower. Mix well, then cook for about five minutes in closed conditions.
- Step 6
Correct the taste, then lift. And serve it while it's warm.
Cauliflower rice can be enjoyed with other side dishes, just like when you eat rice in general.
