Una de las cosas que más disfruto al viajar es tomar fotos. Capturar una imagen para revivir el momento después (al menos en cuanto a lo visual) es una experiencia agradable. Hace un par de meses viajé a Valparaíso, una ciudad puerto ubicada en el Pacífico Chileno y tomé muchísimas fotos de sus casas, sus calles, barcos y muelles. Pero hubo un instante en que me fijé en el horizonte y vi todo de color azul. El azul claro del cielo se fundía con el azul oscuro del agua y la línea que los separaba era casi imperceptible. El barco justo en medio de la imagen le da un toque de presencia entre tanta infinitud. Confieso que el resultado me encantó porque al ver la imagen es posible para mí oír el rumor de las olas y sentir el salitre en mi nariz y por eso quise compartirla con ustedes.
One of the things I enjoy most when traveling is taking photos. Capturing an image to relive the moment afterwards (at least visually) is a pleasant experience. A couple of months ago I traveled to Valparaíso, a port city located in the Chilean Pacific, and I took many photos of their houses, streets, boats, and docks. But there was an instant when I looked at the horizon and saw everything blue. The light blue of the sky merged with the dark blue of the water and the line that separated them was almost imperceptible. The boat right in the middle of the image gives it a touch of presence among so much infinitness. I confess that I loved the result because when seeing the image it's possible for me to hear the sound of the waves and feel the salty smell in my nose and that's why I wanted to share it with all of you.
