On the stage I introduce myself as ELAmental but my friends call me Sass. I am a conscious emcee with the intent of spreading wisdom for healing mankind and the Earth. My messages are often abstract and indirect, which tends to make people think more about what is said, but is also generally my style of writing and delivery. Most of my lyrics come to me through intuitive practices and meditations of sorts. My best art is formed when I am isolated from all external forces and energy, although sometimes external pressure pushes me to write great content as well, but in a very different way. So I guess you could say I am versatile in my creative methods. Adaption should be the primary protocol for all that wish to evolve.
I am on the verge of releasing my debut album: The Hex Wrecker, which is currently in the final stages of editing, and about to be mixed and mastered. This album will be free for download online when released despite the fact that I will be paying close to $1000 USD for mixing/mastering alone.
The main theme of my first album surrounds the concepts of disrupting the plans of darkness, wrecking hexes, killing curses, and banishing all bad Ju Ju. I also advocate cannabis hard in this album, constantly promoting the Cannabis culture. I am even including a DJ Quik tribute track entitled Smoke a Big Blunt, which digs deep into the cannabis lifestyle.
I plan on throwing a record release party in Portland, OR shortly after my first album releases online. I will only be suggesting donations at the door to pay for expenses related to throwing the event, and will not be attempting to make a financial profit in this instance. If you don't have anything to donate then you are of course still invited to come see my show for free. I want as many people to experience my music as possible without the obstacle of a dollar figure standing in the way.

My music is FREE, as all music should be. Think about that, how can one make music that is free when charging for it? I don't want my music locked in a cage that can only be opened with dollar figured keys. Music can never truly fly free with financial chains locking it to the ground.

In addition to being an emcee, I am also a cannabis farmer and wire wrap jeweler (I rap in hip hop, wrap jewelry, and wrap blunts, that is correct... triple (w)rapin'). Just like with my music, my methods for wire wrapping come to me intuitively. I form my energy in wire when I feel the universe is pulling me to do a particular design or structural necessity, it all comes to me on the go. When I am wrapping wire around other wire and gems, I send mental visual projections from my minds eye into the wire, thinking and visualizing words like: love, friendship, belonging, balance, freedom, peace, harmony, wisdom, and happiness. I also will mentally compose enchantments along the lines of:
“Allow the wearer of the amulet to permanently posses the power of happiness and balance. This effect shall take hold in permanence from wearing this amulet only once, and the wearer will forever wield its energy. Allow the positive energy of this amulet to become one with all who wear it.”
&
”Please release these elements of creation from all negative energy, and bless it with only healing light, love, and positive energy. Thank you for this blessing we are about to receive, all we have revived in the past, and all we will receive in the future. Thank you for this day, my friends and family, this life, and this existence”
I visualize the words I am thinking, like these, in text form projecting outward from my third eye into the bending of the metal as I create the talisman. I have made hundreds of amulets to date and am now exclusively working with silver due to its extremely high metaphysical value and severely undervalued price.

Cannabis plays a heavy role in my life as well, which also ties into what I do with hip hip and jewelry. I have worked and volunteered in the Cannabis industry for 4 years now, since I moved from Virginia to Oregon. Growing cannabis can be extremely hectic and stressful at times. There are often long work days and weeks, sometimes working from sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week, in the hottest days of summer.

Despite its obstacles, I am grateful to work in an industry that deals with such a divine plant medicine. It is always a great feeling knowing how many people's lives you are improving by providing high quality viable medicine. This is true for all the hands our flowers pass through after we crop, right down to the person who ends up consuming it.
In fact some of the medical patients we grow for are terminal cancer patients or have other serious ailments. These patients have a huge cardboard box full of pharmaceutical prescriptions they are usually required to take to live and feel semi-normal. When these legitimately ill patients receive the cannabis flowers we donate to them every year, they literally throw that huge box of pills in the dumpster the second our flowers come through the door. They say they do this because the cannabis works much better for improving their health and quality of life than all the pharmaceuticals they take combined, with none of the negative effects, or what some would call “side effects”. The cannabis literally replaces ALL of their medications. It is a great feeling to know I have a part in helping very sick people feel better, and getting them to dispose of their pharma's is an extremely awesome added bonus!
It is the purpose of all humans to help, inspire, be there for each other, and unite to form a more perfect synergism with ourselves and our planet Earth. I seek to lead by example in this manner, and spread the wisdom of truth as far as it can reach.
The only thing in life that we truly have control over is ourselves, so... CONTROL YOURSELF! Pick up trash instead of littering, don't support the disposable fashion industry, re-use what we already have, eat a lot of vegetables, don't get down with music that ignorantly promotes violence, objectifies women, and idolizes money and ego. Get down off your bad self, and rise up to who you are meant to be. My meditation of wealth is getting closer with my true self – check it – my religion is my decision to be better in time, and make progressive steps to be my best and put it to rhyme!
Blessings my brothers & sisters, if you ever wonder why we are here, the great question of life, remember that the answer is simple... we are here for each other, with the Earth being a part of us. Mother Earth is here for us too, so let's be there for her as well. Peace & Love for all days.

p.s. - I will have to make an Introduce yourself part 2 in the future. There is way to much to my life to contain it all in one post. This post only encompasses some of the major interests in my life.
Quick side notes of recent events: Oregon Eclipse Gathering (Symbiosis), #anarchapulco, & #anarchaforko were life changers, highly recommended. All these pictures are origionals taken by either myself or @hempress.

I made a Steemit account back in 2016 but didn't have enough time to start posting content until early Febuary of this year (2018). My activity on Steemit has been rising ever since I started, and my hope is that I can promote and fund my music through Steem. First however, I am going to pour all of my earnings into Steem Power until my SP gets higher.
A personal thank you to everyone who inspired me to get involved with Steemit, and to all the wonderful people who I have met along the way. Let me know if I left you out: @kennyskitchen, @alchemage, @hempress, @brutledge, @uoslavery, @johnnyhurley, @truniversal, @bruceb, @mwolfe13, @flauwy, @dannyquest, @erikaharris, @adamkokesh, @lily-da-vine, @geliquasjourney, @mckenzie259, @wearechange-co, @terrybrock, @bonitaoregon, @verenasage, @bitcoinjudas, @leecamp, and of course @dantheman.
My next post, which will quickly follow this one, will be an explanation of my emcee tag: ELAmental.
Stay tuned - into the right frequencies.
