Toy Story 3 is a 2010 American computer-animated comedy-drama film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. It is the third installment in the Toy Story series and the sequel to Toy Story 2 (1999). The film was directed by Lee Unkrich, who served as the editor of the first two films and the co-director of Toy Story 2. It was produced by Darla K. Anderson and features a screenplay by Michael Arndt.
In Toy Story 3, the toys, including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of their friends, are mistakenly delivered to a daycare center instead of the attic as Andy, their owner, prepares to leave for college. Woody takes on the responsibility of convincing the other toys that they were not abandoned and must find a way to return home.
The film received critical acclaim for its blend of comedy, adventure, and emotional depth. It is often regarded as one of the best animated films ever made and is considered the most emotionally invested installment in the Toy Story series.
