ULOG 080 - Helping the colleague reached their 10000 steps for Steptember

ULOG the log about you!

Some of my colleagues have signed up for Steptember a global charity event where you are challenged to move 10000 steps a day for 28 days. I haven't joined the movement myself lol, keeping fit in other ways 😜

Two of our colleagues are leaving the company and today is the leaving lunch for one of them. The lunch was in a little Chinese restaurant in Chatswood called Victoria Noodle Restaurant. As there was many of us, we could not all fit inside the company's mini bus so those of us who are into walking chose to walk to Artarmon's station and take the train from there.

As we arrived to the restaurant, we saw the restaurant sign from the street but were doubting it was it because all we saw from there was a fishmonger. But then as more colleagues arrived, they confirmed the place so we entered. The restaurant was actually at the back 😂.

The menu was very exhaustive and the food quality is very decent. I think all of us enjoyed their lunch.

On the way back, although we were able to catch the shuttle this time, a few us (including myself) decided to walk back all the way from Chatswood to the office to complete their 10000 steps of the day. That's a total of about 3 km which was pretty easy, especially when you are a group and the weather was amazing.

Tomorrow is going to be around 27-29 C, I will be waking up a little bit earlier than usual to water the garden to make sure that the plants get enough moisture during the day, just in case.

I will be a bit busy in the garden this weekend I reckon. I have the lawn to mow, some garden beds to prepare and start planting some of crops of the season which includes the Okra, some garlic and the sweet potatoes. The compost worms and black soldier fly larvae also need some attention as I've left them alone during the cold season. I did noticed some worms were mating when I fed them their weekly ration of food scraps, so there will be plenty of eggs. I also need to start harvesting the black turmeric and put them for sale.

So, please, follow these simple steps and keep yourself safe:
