Run for Steem: Back on the road

I've not run since Christmas due to some back trouble, but I'm feeling good again. I went out at lunchtime from work today. We have showers and a few people seem to go running each day. It's a good area for it with loads of cycle paths around Stevenage.

Shortly before I went out the rain was really lashing down, but by 12 it had eased. My running buddy hadn't brought his kit, so I headed out alone. I took a different route this time that was along some of the main roads. There were plenty of puddles and it was raining a bit, but I didn't mind too much. My pace was not too bad considering the long break, but my legs were done by the end. I'm not sure if I believe the height differences, but it was a bit up and down. I guess part of that is all the underpasses. You don't have to walk across too many roads.

Run

I'll try to keep this up for the rest of the year. I'd really like to get out at least twice a week, but I plan to do some cycling too when the weather is better. It keeps me reasonably in shape. I'll look at covering some longer running distances and consider doing some events.
