One of the most successful accounts on Steemit is @steemsports. All they do is run posts where you can bet on an event. Nobody actually has to put up any money as we all get paid based on what their posts earn, and they do earn well. It looks like their 874 followers almost all vote on every post, but it's curious that not all of them vote on the comments to make a bet. I know there are bots that vote a lot to try and earn from curation, but I only make 0.001 Steem by voting on these posts.
So what can you make by betting? Well, I'm making a few Steem per week and, to be honest, I'm generally picking a winner at random. I am no expert on sport and I don't actually read their detailed analysis of the teams. So it's definitely worth a try if you want to top up your Steem Power. @safecrack is another little earner where you guess a safe combination. I don't gamble generally as I would expect to lose, but there really is nothing to lose with these apart from a few seconds of your time.
My Steem Power is growing and I just reached a significant number for geeks. 1337 is a geek code for 'elite'.
BTW I notice that the steemsports account, and some others, do not show transaction history for their wallet. Is this because there is just too much of it as they are paying out hundreds of times each day?
