It's milestone time again. I just hit 500 followers after just over seven months on Steemit.
According to Dead Followers nearly two thirds are still active, which I consider a pretty good ratio. In these early days of Steemit there will be a lot of people who join up and get disillusioned. I would hope that the current whale 'experiment' of not voting is having a positive effect for lots of minnows who don't generally make much from their posts. There should be a more even spread of Steem based on what we smaller players vote on. So get voting on all the cool stuff you see. That includes comments. I've got a few that will pay tens of cents.
I know a lot of people are feeling down about the low Steem price, but I feel it will recover and it's showing a small improvement today. The next hard fork is due tomorrow. That will change the dynamics again and I hope it boosts confidence in this cool platform. It was cool to hear @soundlegion on the live @steemittalk podcast at the weekend. She's already bringing some of her friends from the music industry to Steemit. There's massive potential for them here. They can earn from posts and also sell their music for Steem.
