The unique Linh Phuoc Pagoda is a truly unusual looking Buddhist temple in Dalat. The design draws more on artistic shapes and patterns than it does on architectural standards. It barely resembles any of the traditionally built temples in Vietnam, nevertheless it has become much loved by the locals. It sits about three miles east of Dalat City in the township of Trai Mat.
The courtyard to the front has many weird and wonderful features including a dragons head made from 12,000 bottles and a statue of a monk, standing below a small double tiered pagoda. The main 7 tiered pagoda has traditional style Chinese roofs and walkways on every level.
This temple is an amazing colourful structure with all its surfaces covered in glass or ceramic pieces. Over the years more have been added. It is a superb addition to Trai Mat which is a rather plain looking town. It provides much needed tourism for this small town and indeed the whole area.
The Linh Phuoc Pagoda is a great addition to the attractions of Dalat, it is definitely worth a visit
