Isaiah with his picture of the sun giving energy (red lines) to all the marine life and animals.
Niigata in the winter is a cold, gray, wet place. The sun doesn't shine much. This winter has been a tough one
for two entrepreneur parents and one unschooled energy ball named Isaiah. Thankfully, for the past two days the sun has been shining and I was able to get out to the park for a couple hours with my boy to play and kick the ball around.
I couldn't help but be grateful today that he is not in school.
His English is advancing rapidly, as now he is around me speaking in my native tongue much more than before, when he was going to the preschool.
Kicking the soccer ball around.
I am thankful he is not there at the kid's' cage, and for my new, flexible job with lots of free time built into the week so I can play with him.
This winter has been tough. Stressful. I am sure life will continue to be at least for the immediate future. With that said, though, I continue to practice gratefulness. There is a ton to be grateful for.
Especially that life-giving energy ball known as the Sun!!!
(Thanks for stopping by. If you missed the last installment of the Unschooling Blog-- on green screens--you can find it here.)
Peace!
