Unschooling Blog, Vol. 16: Planting a Small Apartment Garden.

IMG_0042.JPG

Today my wife and son planted some veggies on the apartment veranda. We've all recently become interested in permaculture farming, and though we are not on a large plot of land in the countryside, my wife wanted to start growing a few veggies here and there.

My son seems to have taken right to it. Upon returning home today, he showed me which planter contained what, and watered the seeds and small plants.

So far, our little project consists of:

  • 1 broccoli plant
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 soon-to-be head of lettuce
  • 1 radish

Looking forward to seeing them grow!
