Over a year ago I came across Steemit, to be honest; it was nothing compared to the steemit of “Yesteryears”. Then, there was no “BOT APOCALYPSE”, Spamming, Vote buying, and just a little Whale wars. Spamming never became a menace and an average author would get rewarded with befitting Steem/SBD without lobbying for it like it was originally designed to be. But everything has changed, yet steemit still stood the test of time and it’s waxing stronger year by year after over two years and counting. As an average user who had seen the disruptive capability of the Blockchain Technology through Steem both home and abroad, I have some of my own fantasies I still hope it Sync with reality.
SMT BOOMING THE PRICE OF STEEM
One of these fantasies is to see SMT- Smart Media Tokens come into full functionality and maybe it just might soar the price of Steem than the $18 all-time price of SBD late last year. Even though SBD was pegged at $1, we all have seen the unthinkable happen and I couldn’t wish more for steem price to rise above that price tag in its Bullish Reign. Fantasies and Realities have been known to Synchronise, for as many like me who first got a taste of the power of the Blockchain through Steem/SBD; this is one of my wildest wish for Steem to Moon.
MORE ACTIVE USERS
In its second year running, steemit had already eclipse several other main stream media by their first two years, imagine same number of active users on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Snapchat, Instagram on steemit; isn’t that going to be amazing?
KILL THE BOTS AND PSEUDO ACCOUNTS
BOTs infestation has its own effects on the steem eco-system, less human more Robots is not a good feature for a place with high potentials as Steemit. User’s activities is decreasing and this could be attributed to many things as well as the Rise of BOTs and false accounts over Humans using the Platform. Voting BOTs, Comments BOTs and many more all playing major damaging roles.
VOTE BUYING-DRAINING THE REWARD POOL
Vote buying and Upvote Services, “a thick Smoke Bellowing”. Thick smokes often starts wildfires and wild fires could destroy forests and human habitat in its wake, a fact well known which many users also knows is deteriorating The Steem Eco-System with Steemit Inc, seemingly ignoring this danger which is destroying the initial design and concept of “Blog and Earn”. Everything is heading towards moribund with every users resulting into vote buying to quench their frustration. These I wish goes away and never comes back!
