Happy New year to you all, wishing everyone a "steemful" 2018 and beyond. This is the first Awkward moment in the New year, the year which has began on a fantastic note as steem is hovering between $6 to $7 and above. The future is so bright for Steem Eco-system and i can't but to be super curious and see more amazing things to happen once SMT flags off.

INTRODUCING AWKWARD MOMENT SERIES #1

"THE NEW YEAR PSEUDO RESOLUTIONS"

Every New Year comes with Tons and Shiploads of promises and Resolutions, of course it would be a dorky move to not want to have a change of life in the New Year, make some adjustments and let the older life style go with the Expired Years. This had promoted Millions of People to make this Vow/Resolutions Year-In and Year-Out.

But all if not most of this Resolutions becomes obsolete in a matter of week or a couple of Months into the New Year; "Like a Dog Eating Back it's puke!"

Mr. Jones/Officer Jones is a dirty Cop, the bad and rotten ones in the Justice system, committing more crime with the Disguise of the Police Force. He and some other dirty officers around the World feels On
top the World and above the Law- Crime fighting Crime; hard for them to be traced to their many illicit gigs because they have access to every criminal records and exhibits. There Every incriminating Evidence always passes between Jones and his Band of Dirty Cops which they always get rid off.

Now a detective; Jones wanted to give up on this shady dual life between good and bad, but with his partners in view, it was a hard choice for him. So he had made that one of his Resolutions for the New Year; which is to retired Voluntarily from the force, as this is the only way he could be free of a dual life as a cop and as a drug dealer/Weapon handler/Money Launderer for Drug Barons.

The first two Months of the New year had passed with not major incidents, all went smoothly. A week into the third Month, detective Jones and his crooked team got an info on a deal going down at a warehouse between two drug families; a drug/weapon transaction is a very lucrative burst for this guys, in the past they burst such deal and kill every gang member and report it to the force as a Rival Gang shootout. It's always a jackpot for Detective Jones and crew, the spoils of the raid is theirs for keep which they in turn sell back into the Underworld.

Getting to the Warehouse, things got sour and Bloodily, a gun battle ensued killing all of Jones Partners and leaving Jones himself wounded critically in a pool of Blood. Some of this Gang members where killed and others injured in the gun fight, the Actual Police came with Medics and took Jones to the Hospital.

Five days later, Jones Woke up in the Hospital bed with his hands cuffed to the bed frame. He had survived after two surgeries and rumor had spread that the operation he and his team went for was not a legal Police Business and therefore was not logged into the police data. A very serious offence in the Police force and then some of the Injured drug gangs caught had indicted Jones and his dead crew and had testified against them been responsible for many of this burst/shootout in the past.

MORAL

Jones went from the Hospital to Jail!

He had a chance to stick to his New Year Resolution but could not pull through as a result of Greed and peer pressure. How many years of New Resolutions have you failed to comply to?
