As another day is coming to an end, I want to wrap it up by writing this post as I did the previous 3 days. I literally write these post before I go to bed so I can count all the blessings, big or small, from the day I'm leaving behind. As I always mention, I was nominated for this challenge by @snowpea in THIS POST. The challenge was originally created by @conradt.
All the things we take for granted
We all get caught up in our daily, busy lives, in our own thoughts and emotions, in interactions with other people that we hardly find time to stop for a moment and count our blessings. Since I started practicing gratitude (yes, I did practice it at first), it really changed my life for better. Growing up, I was always grateful to some extent but it was mostly for "big things". Being grateful for multiple things in a day, every day - that is when your mindset really changes.
Every time I catch myself complaining about something, I start thinking about all the things I'm grateful for. At the beginning it was a little bit hard, but now I feel like I have this list somewhere in my brain so when I'm down, I just go there and open my treasure chest, my collection of good memories and blessings. Every day, I express gratitude in my mind or on paper, for the food I have on the table, for my coffee, for having Internet and be able to write these posts, for my family and friends, for people I met here, for the sunshine, nature, everything I can think of... The other day it just came to my mind how amazing is that I live in a time where I can actually wear and afford glasses to correct my poor vision and that there are other options like contact lenses or even surgery to deal with this problem. I used to hate wearing glasses but now I'm thankful to have them.
So I guess that today positive note would be to live a life full of pure love and gratitude every day and look for miracles even in the smallest things. These photos I took today, while I was outside catching some sunshine and having a coffee.
Today I am nominating @saffisara, @zen-art and @c0ff33a! I hope you don't mind joining this challenge, if you find time. :) If anyone wants to participate, let me know in the comments so I can nominate you.
To keep the positive vibes going and to help those in need, I will send all the SBD that this post earns to @indayclara's project called 'The Awesome Smile' and each day of this challenge I will chose a new project/charity/organization to send SBD to so if you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments! Please check out @indayclara and THIS POST to learn more about the project.
Improtant note: this is NOT one of the rules of the challenge, it's just something I personally wanted to do.
Rules of the challenge:
- Write a post about something you have to be postive about today - this could be anything from being thankful for your current situation, someone being nice to you, being thankful for your friends and family, or even being thankful for the oppurtunity you have been given here on Steemit - just keep it positive :)
- Do this for 7 days in a row if you get nominated
- Mention three people who should do this on each day.
- Tag it with #7daypositivitychallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post
- Include a picture of something positive (related to your story if possible).
