Hello Monday Lovelies !

It's a new week that starts here and therefore a new round of paintings that will emerge,
yes indeed, it's our daily bread at FancyPetLand 😃

We start the week with this Smart Chihuahua and his happy-to-live look , which I added to my portrait gallery

but first let's start at the beginning and see how we got to that :

As usual, I have detailed the steps in pictures ... you can't say I don't think of you while I'm painting, can you ? 😃

So I start by drawing on a simple white sheet, I use my printer sheets in general,
and even sometimes a simple scrap piece of these sheets, because I cut a lot and I don't like to throw the paper ... a paper can always be recycled and I use to make tests of paints and colours, or I note stuff, so I have them everywhere and I throw them when I really can't do otherwise 😉

Then after a layer of white gesso on my drawing, I switch to coloring with my Neocolor II pastels which I then watercolor with a wet brush

The shadows are created with felts that are blended with the famous Q-tip,
and I draw all the lines of my character again with an ultra thin liner.

Here I made the buttons by cutting squares in a sheet of newspaper and sticking them on his pretty jacket 😊

And here's the result...

Isn't this pretty treasure the cutest one..? ^_

So I scanned Archi to have him travel on my computer,
and take him to the digital grooming salon 😃

There I have all the tools to make him all beautiful and presentable for a portrait worthy of the kings and queens of England 😉

Yes, Archie has big ears, so I found it fun to get them out of the frame.
In any case, he now proudly trones in the gallery where everyone can buy his portrait 😄

He's there in good company, remember ...

Hello les amis du Lundi !

C'est une nouvelle semaine qui commence ici et donc une nouvelle salve de tableaux qui voient le jour, forcément, car c'est notre pain quotidien à FancyPetLand 😃

Nous débutons la semaine avec ce Smart Chihuahua et son petit regard heureux de vivre, que j'ai ajouté à ma galerie de portraits

mais commençons tout d'abord par le commencement et voyons plutôt comment nous sommes arrivés à ça :

Comme d'habitude, je vous ai détaillé les étapes en images...vous ne pouvez pas dire que je ne pense pas à vous pendant que je peins, n'est-ce pas ..? 😃

Donc je commence par faire un dessin sur une simple feuille blanche, j'utilise mes feuilles d'imprimante en général,
et même parfois une simple chute de l'une de ces feuilles, car je découpe beaucoup et je n'aime pas jeter le papier...une feuille peut toujours être recyclée et me servir à faire des essais de peinture ou noter des trucs, donc j'en ai partout et je les jette lorsque vraiment je ne peux faire autrement 😉

Puis après avoir passé une couche de gesso blanc sur mon dessin, je passe à la colorisation avec mes pastels Néocolor II que j'aquarelle ensuite avec un pinceau humide

Les ombres sont créées avec des feutres que j'estompe au coton tige,
et je repasse toutes les lignes de mon personnage avec un liner ultra fin.

Ici j'ai fait les boutons de la veste en découpant des carrés dans une feuille de journal et en les collant sur sa jolie jaquette 😊

et voici le résultat...

N'est-il pas craquant ce joli trésor..? ^_

J'ai donc scanné Archi pour le faire voyager dans mon ordi,
et l'emmener au salon de toilettage digital 😃

Là j'ai tout l'outillage pour le faire tout beau et présentable pour un portrait digne des rois et reines d'Angleterre 😉

Oui, Archie a de mega oreilles, alors j'ai trouvé amusant de le faire dépasser du cadre 😊
En tout cas, il trone à présent fièrement dans la galerie où tout un chacun peut se payer son portrait 😄
