"Maybe blacks people suffered/suffering because we were praying to a god that is not ours"- Anonymous

Fact is that the entire history prior to the slavery of the Blacks had been taken away and mutilated. The actual events of pre-slavery era of Africans had been erased from history and all we have left are just mere pulp fictions!

A brief digging into the history of Blacks by some Theologians who claimed and stated that there was never Black People in Africa before Noah and the Flood. The accuracy of this reports is not conclusive as the real and true origin of Black people would remain a mystery irrespective of what different findings and research have claimed and documented. But it was a known fact that our ancestors worship idols, deities before the introduction of the European beliefs which was radically programmed into the minds of Blacks- African Blacks!

Some studies claimed they prayed to God but in a different form which probably requires sacrifices and alters setups. Other researchers stipulated that we prayed to the Ancestral beings because these ancestors assume the role of intermediary between the Heavens and the Earth These ancestral beings were part of the divine order of things i.e we were born into this realm by our parents,
and so our parents from theirs in a continuous order which is referred to the "Order of All Things."

We prayed to our ancestors who acts as our "conduit to God". Studies had shown that Blacks, Africans worship of Ancestral Spirits is the Most original traditional religion, but the hardest part is the clarification on which part of Africa slavery originated from to the rest of the World. Sadly, majority of the relics that could serve as evidence had been destroyed by crusading Christian Knights and Muslims in their quest to dominate Africa and down went our cultural values!

Whoever we prayed to never saved us from slavery, that's for sure; whether Idols or Ancestors we are still in the conflict of historical imbalance which had made millions forget their root and claimed another man's belief and logic.

Quoting from a black movement book, the author strongly believe we have been misled and stated further:

"It was the missionaries who confused our people both dead in history and alive with their new religion. By some strange logic. they argued that theirs was a scientific religion and ours was a mere superstition in spite of the biological discrepancies which is so obvious on the basis of their religion. They further went to preach a theology of the existence of hell, scaring our fathers and mothers with stories about burning in Eternal flames and gnashing of teeth with the grinding of Bones. This cold cruel religion was strange to us but our for forefathers sufficiently scared of the unknown impending anger to believe that it was worthy to give a try- Then our cultural values disappeared!"

CONCLUSION

The writer as quoted above may have made some points, sounds like a proud author who had cherished and missed his or her cultural heritage. Each of the ancestors' black people prayed to are either portrayed as the Sun, Moon, Rain, and Thunder, Planets, the Stars etc and all these were created by the God who created Heaven and Earth as the Europeans had made us believe which science itself finds it hard to dispute.
