For 6 months I have been going to the Desert Botanical Garden regularly. Now I want to share pictures of pieces in Chihuly in the Desert that I have taken at different times of day, through different seasons and light.
I really like this picture. It was taken at 7:30am and the lights are still on and the light of the day is very soft.

Dale Chihuly
Sonoran Neon, 2021
Neon glass and acrylic
Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix, Arizona
At 80 years old Chiuly is still innovating. I have seen a lot of his work and have never seen anything like Sonoran Neon. It is a bit chaotic and bright for my taste.

It did grow on me and I really like what it can do with ICM (Intentional Camera Movement). Here is my post ICM and dancing lights from February. I had a great time with @laurabellamy taking these pictures.

What does Sonoran mean? It is part of the southwestern US (Arizona and California) and the northwestern part of Mexico. It makes me happy that while Chihuly installed old favorites like red reeds and paintbrushes he also made something unique for us in the Sonoran Desert for this exhibit.
Here is a video about the Sonoran Desert.
What do you think of this light sculpture?
If you look at the other posts below you will see that this installation is quite unique from a lot of his other work.
